Blue Sky, Mountains, and Design
Ridge 16 Designs, LLC was born from my love of Colorado's wild places. My dad has a strong sense of adventure that he made sure to share with me all my life. Every weekend as a young girl me, my brother, mom and dad would be out camping, Jeeping, riding horses, hiking, snowmobiling... anything that got us out into the mountains! I quickly grew a strong passion for the wild places and backroads of colorful Colorado. I got the curiosity to see what was over the next ridge from my dad; and the ability to slow down and appreciate the intimate details of nature's miracles from my mom. Their influence and personalities helped shape my ability to create beautiful, meaningful things!
My dad had extra time for getting out in the back country since he owned his own mechanic shop. Growing up with that influence, I later got my Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship. I have always been intrigued by the ability to own my own business doing something I love and sharing that love with my customers.

Ridge 16 Designs got its name from an actual ridge in the high country where my dad hunted for 30+ years. "Hunting Camp" was one of our playgrounds by summer, and his playground by fall. It was an intense six- or seven-hour horse ride into the wilderness where we would spend one or even several nights taking in the majesty and peace of the wild. If you couldn't fit it on the pack horses, you would be without it until you rode back down to the trailhead. That was a special place for my dad, and we made many precious memories there as a family. Even when I started dating my husband, of now 11 years, his grit was tested there in those mountains. There will always be a special place in my heart for the Colorado Rockies!

Now as an adult I have realized my passion for design and making beautiful things. Ridge 16 Designs is the combination of my passion for mountains and design. My products include home décor, jewelry, and apparel. I enjoy being able to customize products for customers so that they can feel connected to the wild of Colorado and develop their own love of the mountains. My home décor and jewelry products are made and customized with the help of my CO2 laser engraving machine. It is a very fun machine to use, and the product options are almost endless! My apparel is made with the help of Prinful and Printify (drop ship printing services). The designs are my own but using a drop ship printing service for the end product allows me to offer a wider range of products and options for my customers.
